「銭湯」は英語では、public bath または public bathhouse と言います。ちなみに、温泉は hot spring です。
私たちは、当たり前のように利用している銭湯ですが、利用する際に守るべき不文律（unwritten rules）がたくさんありますよね。
外国の人に銭湯の入り方を説明するときに使える、英語表現を下記にまとめました。
🛁 銭湯の基本的なルール
- Take off your shoes before entering the changing room.（脱衣所に入る前に靴を脱ぎます。）
- Take off all your clothes before entering the bathing area.（浴場に入る前に服をすべて脱ぎます。）
- Don’t wear a swimsuit in the bath.（浴槽では水着を着用しません。）
- Wash your body before getting into the bath.（湯船に入る前に体を洗います。）
- Rinse off all the soap before entering the bath.（湯船に入る前に石けんをきれいに洗い流します。）
- Don’t put your towel in the bath.（タオルを湯船に入れないでください。）
- Don’t wash your body in the bath.（湯船の中で体を洗わないでください。）
- Don’t swim in the bath.（湯船で泳がないでください。）
- Keep your hair out of the bathwater.（髪の毛が湯船につからないようにしてください。）
- If you have long hair, tie it up before entering the bath. (長い髪は結びます。)
- Don’t splash other people.（ほかの人にお湯をかけないようにしてください。）
- Keep your voice down.（大声で話さないようにしてください。）
- Wipe off excess water before returning to the changing room.（脱衣所に戻る前に、体の水気を拭き取ります。）
🚿 洗い場で使える表現
- Please sit down while washing your body.（体を洗うときは座ってください。）
- Don’t leave the shower running when you’re not using it.（使っていないときはシャワーを出しっぱなしにしないでください。）
- Please rinse the washing area after use.（使用後は洗い場をお湯で流してください。）
- Don’t leave your belongings in the washing area.（洗い場に私物を置いたままにしないでください。）
📱 マナーに関する表現
- Don’t use your phone in the changing room or bathing area.（脱衣所や浴場ではスマートフォンを使用しないでください。）
- Photography and video recording are prohibited.（写真・動画の撮影は禁止されています。）
- Be considerate of other bathers.（ほかの入浴客に配慮してください。）
- Follow the rules of the bathhouse.（銭湯のルールに従ってください。）
